A multi-award-winning cinematographer
based in Yorkshire and working on projects across the UK. I’ve filmed everything from commercials to short films to weddings and music videos, bringing the same creative eye and technical craft to each one.

He was professional, really communicative and committed to help make it the best video it could have been, and was so supportive and helpful throughout the process. Throughout the day he managed to capture all the key moments without us even realising he was there a lot of the time, and managed to get really special footage throughout the day while being discreet and professional throughout.
When we sat down to watch the end product we were both in tears! He clearly put lots of passion and effort into the editing, meaning that our personalities really came across in the final cut.

Why do I need a wedding video?
Ask almost any couple what they remember about their wedding day, and they’ll likely tell you it went by in the blink of an eye. There will be moments you miss — the groom’s arrival, the canapés, even your own entrance seen from everyone else’s perspective. A wedding film captures all of these and preserves them for a lifetime. It’s the best way to bottle the true essence of your day: a rich mix of memories and sounds you can revisit and share with family and friends, children and grandchildren, for years to come.
Won’t having my wedding filmed be intrusive?
Not at all. Our trained, courteous operators dress appropriately for the occasion and work quietly in the background throughout the day. Blending in is something we take real pride in, and it’s one of the things our clients mention most often.
What about music?
We use sound from your wedding as the main audio bed — dialogue from your vows, speeches, or a specific recording — and lay fully licensed library music underneath, which allows your video to be enjoyed on all social media.
Can I download my wedding video?
Yes — all your wedding videos are available to download, so you can keep your own copies on your personal devices.
Do I have to provide the camera operator(s) with food at my wedding?
It’s not a contractual requirement, as we know this isn’t always possible. That said, if you’re able to provide a meal it’s genuinely appreciated — it means we can stay close by and ready in case something worth filming happens.
What’s your back-up plan if you’re unable to make it on the day?
This has never happened in many years of filming — but we plan for it regardless. Spool Running Productions works with a team of videographers we can call on in case of illness, and we do everything possible to ensure your day is still covered. This is also outlined in our wedding contract.
Where can I find pricing for a bespoke package?
For a tailored quote — including the option to combine our video and photography teams for coordinated coverage of your day — please get in touch and we’ll put together something suited to your needs.
Why would I want a second camera and operator at my wedding?
A second camera gives a fuller picture of your day and helps us catch moments a single operator might miss — including filming the bride’s and groom’s preparations at the same time. The result is a more complete film that’s simply more enjoyable to watch.
How and when do I need to pay?
A 20% deposit is required to secure your wedding date, with the remaining balance due one calendar month before your wedding. Payment is made via bank transfer, with full details provided upon booking. The deposit is non-refundable, as it reserves your date exclusively.
